Functions and Objectives
A. FUNCTIONAL STATEMENT              
                     
1. Formulate integrated economic, social, physical and other development plans and policies for consideration of the Local Government  Development Council. Conduct continuing studies, researches and training programs necessary to evolve plans and programs for implementation.
2. Integrate and coordinate all sectoral plans and studies undertaken by the different functional groups of agencies.
3. Monitor projects and activities in the Local Government Unit concerned in accordance with the approved development plans.
4. Prepare comprehensive plans and other development documents for the consideration of the Local Development Council.
5. Analyze the income and expenditures patterns and formulate and recommend fiscal plans and policies for consideration of the finance committee of the LGU concerned as provided under Title Five Book II of the code.
6. Promote people participation in the development planning within the LGU concerned.
7. Exercise supervision and control over the secretariat of the LDC and;
8. Exercise such powers and perform such other functions and duties as may be prescribed by law or ordinance.
                     
B.OBJECTIVE

Issuance of Zoning Certificate/ Locational Clearance

The Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator, as the Zoning Officer, receives and evaluates the complete documents of projects for the issuance of Zoning Clearance/ certificate subject to the Comprehensive Land Use Plan as approved.
