Functions & Objectives
I.  OFFICES OF THE MUNICIPAL  VICE MAYOR & SANGGUNIANG BAYAN
A.  FUNCTIONAL STATEMENT
1. Be the presiding officer of the Sangguniang Bayan and sign all warrants draw on the Municipal Treasury for all expenditures appropriated for the operation of the Sangguniang Bayan.
2.  Subject to Civil Service laws, rules and regulations, appoint all officials and employees of the Sangguniang Bayan, except those whose manner of appointment is specifically provided in the Local Government Code of 1991;
3. Assume the office of the Municipal Mayor for the unexpired term of the later in the event of permanent vacancy as provided for in Section 44, Book 1 of the Local Government Code of 1991;
4. Exercise the power and perform the duties and functions of the Municipal Mayor in cases of temporary vacancy as provided for in Section 46, Book 1 of the Local Government Code of 1991;
5. To perform his duty to augment any item in the approved annual budget for Vice Mayor and Sangguniang Bayan Offices from savings in other items within the same expense class of the appropriations, as provided for in Section 336 of RA 7160.
B.  OBJECTIVE
Be able to preside in the proceedings of the Sangguniang Bayan for effective and efficient legislation.
II. OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY TO THE SANGGUNIAN
A.   FUNCTIONAL STATEMENT
1. To assist in the aid of legislation to provide for the levy and collections of taxes for general purposes in accordance with law.
2. To assist in the making of  all the appropriations for the expenses of the government of the municipality.
3. To assist in the preparation of the approval of the Department Head, the number and salaries of the officials and employees of the Municipality otherwise provided by law.
4. To assist in the preparation of  regulations to protect the public from conflagration and to prevent and investigate the effects of public calamities and provide relief for persons suffering from same.
5. To assist the legislative body in  fixing  the tariff fees and charges for all services rendered by the Municipality or its instrumentalities, branches of offices.
6. To assist in the praparation of policies to regulate and fix the amount of licenses, fees for business establishment.
7. To assist in enactment of  ordinances for the maintenance and preservation of peace and good morals.
8. To provide for the establishment, and maintenance and regulate the use of public properties.
9. To enact all ordinances it may deem necessary an proper for the sanitation, safety, the furtherance of prosperity and the promotion of morality, peace, good order, comfort, convenience and general welfare of the Municipality and its inhabitants.
B.    OBJECTIVES
1. To assist in in the enact, approve, and recommend to proper authority all measures to uplift the economic well-being of the citizenry in accordance with established rules and regulations.
2. To assist and research  for further study of ordinances for amendments.

NOTICE OF CALL FOR ACCREDITATION TO ALL CSOs/POs/NGOs

Documentary Requirements:

  1. LETTER OF APPLICATION (sample of the letter is available at the Sangguniang Bayan of Bokod);
  2. DULY ACCOMPLISHED APPLICATION FORM FOR ACCREDITATION (forms are available at the Sangguniang Bayan of Bokod/ you can download editable form below);
  3. DULY APPROVED BOARD RESOLUTION: signifying intention for accreditation for the purpose of representation in a local special body;
  4. CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION OR CERTIFICATE OF ACCREDITATION (from SEC, CDA, DOLE, DSWD etc.) or in the case of IPO’s-Certificate of Registration must be issued by the NCIP;
  5. LIST OF CURRENT OFFICERS AND MEMBERS (including their addresses and contact numbers);
  6. ORIGINAL SWORN STATEMENT issued by the chief executive or equivalent officer of the CSO, stating that the CSO is independent, non-partisan organization and that it will retain its autonomy while pursuing the advancement of the people’s interest through its membership in a local special body, after satisfying all the requirements and set criteria;
  7. MINUTES OF ANNUAL MEETING for the immediately preceding year as certified by the organization’s board secretary;
  8. ANNUAL ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT for the immediately preceding year (duly accomplished and signed by the Board of Secretary and/or the President of the Organization);
  9. FINANCIAL STATEMENT signed by the Executive officers of the organization, also of the immediately preceding year and indicating therein other information such as the source (s) of funds;
  10. PROFILE indicating the purposes and objectives of the organization;
  11. FOR CSO’s APPLYING TO BE MEMBERS OF THE LOCAL SCHOOL BOARD OR HEALTH BOARD photocopy of profiles of at least three (3) individuals in the organization that will verify their involvement in education or health services as prescribed in Section 98 and 102 of RA 7160.
